​OUR CHURCH
Dansville Foursquare Church is located in the finger lakes region of western ny.  Dansville is a small bedroom community (8,000 in the village) with the school district and hospital being the main employers.  The culture at DFC is one of love and acceptance.  We are relaxed, down to earth, and understand that we are all on this journey together.  Bible Study Website Sidebar

OUR LEAD PASTORS
Shawn and Julie have four children, Taylor, Tyler, Zachary and Baylie. They have lived in Dansville since 1996.  Other than thier faith in God, family is their biggest priority.

…  Whenever I am asked “what’s the hardest thing about being a pastor” I often think of all the hell fire, brimstone and doomsday prophets and preachers that make my job so incredibly difficult.  You see I am on a mission to share God’s love for people, and I am always frustrated when I see others doing the opposite in God’s name.  John 3:16 is the most famous of all passages “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” [NIV].  While I too love this verse it is not my favorite, I like the next one John 3:17 “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him”. –Pastor Shawn Harnish

 OUR VALUES
 
God’s Love & Grace: We will emphasize grace, love and acceptance as we reach out to; unchurched people and Christians to help them grow. We will let the Holy Spirit do his job, and will always respond to the “Plank Eye principle”  Matthew 7:3,  Romans 15:7
 
Relational Evangelism: We will not ever “shove the dove”.  We will let our light shine in our everyday lives. We will target unreached people, not Christians from other churches. Sharing the good news and our testimonies with those around us. Acts 1:8, 1 Peter 3:15

Discipleship: Letting the Holy Spirit be the leader of our lives. Being transparent and continually submitted to the process of becoming just like Jesus. Not only being discipled but “paying it forward” by discipling others as well. Hebrews 6:1, Romans 14:1, Matthew 28:16-20
 
Creative & Practical Worship: Connecting with God, as we creatively and freely express our love and adoration for Him. Learning from the Bible in practical and applicable terms, so that lives can become transformed.  John 4:23-24, Matthew 4:10
 
Purpose Discovery: Every believer has a passion based God given purpose and we are dedicated to helping them discovery and employ it. Ephesians 4:11-12,  Matt 9:35-38
 
Equality in Ministry: Men & women are encouraged to pursue any area of leadership. Galatians 3:26-28
 
Prayer: To be people of prayer.  The center of all we do is faith, reliance on God. Hebrews 11:1-12
 
Giving: Giving to support the ministry through tithing. Responding to the Lord’s leading in offerings.  Embracing the revelation of stewardship, acknowledging God’s ownership of all finances in the church and our lives.   Matthew 25:14–30
